Comments Please
We're new, and would appreciate any comments or feedback that you can provide.
We only recently completed beta test (2004-Jun-30), during which access to results
was restricted, so please send us any comments or suggestions that you may have.
Specific Questions
- Did you find any math errors, e.g. in the calculation of monthly PL, or
calculation of the various statistics?
- How useful /meaningful were the various pages and displays to you?
- How user-friendly were the various pages, displays, and features?
- Any suggestions about our Editorial policy? (It is intended to facilitate
providing useful information to the public, and to foster good relations
between system developers, system-assist brokers, and Futures Examiner.
- Do you like the conventions and equations used, e.g. for Results Integrity,
Conservative account size, and Figure of Merit?
- Did you find any bugs in the software?
- Were there any display problems with your browser?
- Is there a system whose results you would like to see reported?
Your input is needed!
Please look at the "Specific Questions" above, and give us your comments on
the items listed in "Some Details..." below. It would be good if you can indicate
whether you (a) Like, (b) Don't like, or (c) Don't care about these details
(or anything else). When you find a problem or have a comment, please
send us an email
with details such as:
- Complete description of the problem, including the steps leading up to the
problem, what page you were in, the name of the SCD if relevant, the date the
problem was encountered, and specific data values, error messages, etc.
- The type of computer, operating system, and browser that you used
- Any suggestions that you may have
- Your name and telephone number
Some Details to consider
- Using red italics for negative numbers.
- Short-term and long-term Sharpe etc. ratios.
- Sterling ratio: Unlike others, we use the average annual maximum drawdown, and use
only the most recent 3 years of data. Is this good?
- We use sliding "years", and do not report year-to-date numbers.
- What other features or data would you like to see?
- Computed minis: Should we provide these? Does the calculation make sense?
- Computed minis: We believe for the mini-S&P that fills are about 0.25 points
better than for the big contract. For the mini-Nasdaq and mini-Russel we have no
data. For demonstration purposes, we have used 0.5 and 0.1 points respectively.
Can anyone help out here?
- Some links generate a new window, and some don't. Generally, links on the
Results page generate a new window, and have no links to the pages that are
accessible from the Home page. The Results page itself has a backward link
to the Home page, but no links to the pages accessible from the Home page.
Do you find this convenient?
- When a link will create a new window, we display it in (underlined)
italics to indicate this. I haven't seen this convention before, but
wanted some way to let the user know when a new window was going to be
launched. Do you like this?
- The fonts used on the charts.
